Menagerie Design Studio is the working studio & gallery of Wilmington, NC based artist/designer Carolyn Colby.

Carolyn was originally a student of fashion design, but early on found her love in the kitchen. She cultivated her skills as a chef & pastry chef by working alongside seasoned local chefs & restaurateurs.
A pioneer in the local home staging industry, Carolyn specializes in redesign by creating amazing spaces using what you already have.
Her transition to the visual arts was not a gradual journey. She describes it as being "spontaneously combusted into an artist".
Her early watercolor assemblages under glass have evolved into complex mixed media collages resembling stained glass.
Carolyn's unique work has been used in feature films, television, and is held in private collections internationally.
